Cherise Two, 2014, 9" x 14"
Thriving on the process of both digital pattern creation and the needlework itself, Ashlee appreciates that she can completely envision the finished work before making a single stitch. Primarily working in counted cross-stitch, her pieces also feature Freehand, Blackwork and Hardanger embroidery.
Nina, 2010, 11" x 11"
Collaborating in the theatres and cabarets of Toronto provides an endless source of inspiration for transforming treasured moments into magnificent textiles with remarkable detail. The work invites the viewer to approach, look closer, and participate in reconstructing the subjects into icons and legends.
